forbid., prohibit., ban.用法有什么区别？

forbid,，prohibit,，ban这三个词都有“禁止”的意思，但是用法上有一定的区别，如下：

1、forbid，最普通的表述，比prohibit通俗。用于较小事物，或个人、上级、官方、长辈做出的禁止命令、规定，或客观条件不允许。

主动语态常用forbid sb. to do sth. 禁止某人去做某事

forbid sth 禁止某事/某物

forbid sb from doing sth 禁止某人做某事

例子：

The doctor forbids him to smoke. 

医生禁止他吸烟。

2、prohibit，指比较正式地通过法律或政府禁止。“禁止，不准”，指通过法律、法令、警告等做出禁止命令的正式规定或规则。

固定搭配为prohibit sb. from doing sth.(禁止某人做某事)

例子：

Strictly prohibit from using solar lamp to heat stoving.

严禁用太阳灯加热烘干。

3、ban，语气最强，一般是权威人士发出严厉的禁止，只能以物作宾语。指合法地或由于社会压力而禁止，含谴责或不赞成的态度。

如：ban the book（查禁此书）

例子：the company absoutely bans smoking within its buildings.

forbid、prohibit和ban在英语中都有“禁止”的含义。

forbid意为“不许、命令、严禁”等，一般不用于祈使句，其后可接双宾语。

例，I forbid you to enter this room.

我不许你进入这个房间。

▪ prohibit

prohibit的语气较为正式，多指通过法律手段或制定规则来加以禁止。

例，The law prohibits smoking in public places.

法律规定禁止在公共场所吸烟。

▪ ban

ban的语气最强，通常指权威机关明文取消或禁止严重危害公众利益的事或行为，隐含道义上的谴责意味。

例，There is a ban on smoking in this restaurant.

这家餐厅禁止吸烟。
