as long as和as soon as的区别
一、本义不同：
当 as long as 用于本义表示“与……一样长”时，as long as 可用于肯定句或肯定句。as soon as的本义是“立刻”。例如：It took three times as long as I had expected 这件事比我预料的多花了两倍的时间。
二、省略结构不同：
在用as long as连接的从句中，当其谓语为be,而主语和主句的主语相同时，则从句的主语和be可以省略。如：I'm sure we are safe as long as(we are) in his care 我深信只要在他的保护下,我们就会平安无事。
三、用法不同：
1、as soon as 表示一怎么就的意思，既可以引导时间状语从句，表过去，又可以表示将来。as soon as引导时间状语从句当主句用一般过去时时，从句中用一般过去时或过去完成时。如：As soon as we found this out, we closed the ward 我们一发现此事就关闭了病房。
2、as long as 表示只要的意思，做条件状语从句。You can phone me at work as long as you don't make a habit of it 你可以上班时给我打电话，只要别一来二去打上瘾了就成。
